KEAM 2021 Examination

The admission to professional colleges in Kerala are through a common entrance test namely KEAM. It is the abbreviation of Kerala Engineering Architecture Medical. The exam is conducted by the Office of the Commissioner of Entrance Exams run by the Government of Kerala every year. Admission to various Engineering courses , Medical and medical allied courses , Architecture course and Pharmacy course are through this examination. 

The application for KEAM 2021 is to be submitted by online through the website www.cee.kerala.gov.in. Candidates have to register their names first and then will get an application number which is the very important number for all further activities.

Nationality

Citizen of India or Persons of Indian Origin (PIO) or Overseas Citizen of India (OCI)

Nativity

Candidates shall be regarded as Keralite (those born in Kerala) and Non-Keralite (those domiciled in states other than Kerala)

Academic Qualification

Passed Higher Secondary Examination (HSE) Kerala or equivalent examination with Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects and Chemistry as optional (substituted by Computer Science or Biotechnology or Biology) with at least 50% marks for Medical and Medical allied courses and 45% marks for Engineering courses.

Candidates belonging to SC/ ST/ SEBC/ PwD categories will be given relaxation of  marks as detailed below.

 

Age

Candidates should have completed 17 years of age as on December 31, 2021. There is no upper age limit. But for NEET exam its guidelines to be followed.


Academic Qualifications in Detail 


MBBS/BDS :- Physics,Chemistry,Biology/Biotechnolgy and English passed individually and minimum 50% marks together in Physics,Chemistry & Biology/Biotechnolgy. (40% for SC/ST & SEBC, 45% for PwD) BAMS/BHMS/BSMS :- Physics,Chemistry,Biology and English passed individually and minimum 50% marks together in Physics,Chemistry & Biology (40% for SC/ST & SEBC, 45% for PwD) . BUMS :- Physics,Chemistry,Biology and English passed individually and minimum 50% marks together in Physics,Chemistry & Biology. Also should have passed 10th or 12th standard with Urdu or Arabic or Persian as a subject (40% for SC/ST & SEBC, 45% for PwD). BVSc/Agri/Fisheries/Forestry :- Physics,Chemistry & Biology passed individually and minimum 50% marks together in Physics,Chemistry & Biology (Pass for SC/ST , 45% for SEBC & PwD). Engineering :- Physics, Maths & Chemistry or CS or Biotechnolgy or Biology passed with minimum 45% marks together in Physics, Maths & Chemistry or CS or Biotechnolgy or Biology (40% for SC/ST , SEBC & PwD). Architecture :- Physics, Maths & Chemistry with minimum 50% marks together and +2 with minimum 50% marks (Pass for SC/ST , 45% for SEBC & PwD). B Pharm :- 10+2 passed with Physics,Chemistry,Biology/Maths and English as subjects for all categories.
